Hi there!
Let me tell you a bit about myself
I currently live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and shifted careers a few years ago from hospital chaplain to spiritually-integrated psychotherapist. I see so much continuity in these roles - of sharing sacred space with others, holding compassionate presence, honouring people’s stories, and bearing witness to the “terrible, beautiful, and sacred” fullness of human experience. The added bonus (in my opinion) of being a psychotherapist is that I get to work with people longer than I typically would when I worked in acute care. I love journeying for the long haul with folks, companioning with them on so many twists and turns on their path, and bearing witness to the long arc of healing, growth, and transformation. What a privilege! I have always loved adventuring and exploring - whether it was hunting for shells and glass balls along the beach as a kid in Japan, making forts in the woods with my best friend in Maryland, learning new ideas in university and grad school across three countries, or discovering my own inner landscape as an adult - this is what makes life meaningful. How cool that I also get to adventure, explore, and discover with so many of you!!!
